Schneider Electric Showcases Integrated Infrastructure Solutions at Xcelerate 2024: Embracing Technology for India’s Future

At Xcelerate 2024 in Kolkata on June 14, Parijat Sarkar from Schneider Electric presented a comprehensive overview of the company’s solutions aimed at revolutionizing infrastructure and integrated systems for India. His presentation underscored the importance of embracing technology, as previously highlighted by the event’s keynote speaker. Sarkar emphasized, “We should be embracing technology and not be afraid of it,” setting the tone for the session.

Schneider Electric, a leader in electrical automation, is not just about products but also about simplifying technology through software solutions. Sarkar mentioned the company’s strong commitment to innovation, noting that “We devote 5 percent of our annual revenue to research and development.” He further highlighted the company’s significant contribution to the Asia Pacific region, which accounts for 29 percent of Schneider Electric’s global revenue.

Delving into the global landscape of connected technologies, Sarkar cited a KPMG report predicting that “More than 180 trillion GB of data will be in play by 2025, with over 80 billion connected things.” This surge in data and interconnected devices presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly in areas such as bandwidth, latency, and security. To address these, Schneider Electric offers an integrated, all-in-one solution, particularly within the realm of data centers.

Sarkar elaborated on Schneider’s EcoStruxure line of data center solutions, ranging from micro to large-scale deployments. “We have EcoStruxure micro data centers, row data centers, pod data centers, and modular data centers for large applications,” he said, explaining how these solutions cater to a variety of environments—from IT spaces to rugged industrial applications.

In addition to the physical infrastructure, Sarkar stressed the importance of sustainable and automated products. He introduced the EcoStruxure Resource Advisor and EcoStruxure IT Advisor software platforms, which enable remote monitoring and predictive analysis to prevent failures in data centers. “EcoStruxure is not just about connected products like laptops or UPS systems,” he explained, “but about creating an ecosystem where these devices can communicate, enabling edge control and apps for predictive analytics.”

The session provided a holistic view of how Schneider Electric is equipping industries with the tools they need to manage future data demands, emphasizing that their offerings go beyond individual components to integrated, intelligent systems that support digital transformation. As Sarkar summed up, “We are here to present you with our different technology, which is integrated, intelligent, digital, and sustainable.”
